Code of Conduct

Last updated: 25th June 2026

Auris is for everyone. We want the festival to be a welcoming, respectful and safe space for audiences, artists, staff and volunteers. This applies at all venues and events.

What we expect of our team, and our visitors:

Treat others with respect and consideration. Listen, share space, and be mindful that people experience sound and crowds differently.

What’s not acceptable:

Harassment, discrimination, intimidation or abuse of any kind - including on the basis of race, ethnicity, gender, gender identity, sexuality, disability, religion, age or appearance - is not tolerated. Nor is unwanted physical contact, filming or photographing people without consent, or behaviour that puts others at risk.

Photography and filming:

We may photograph and film at events for documentation and promotion. If you don’t want to be filmed or photographed, let a member of staff know, and we’ll do our best to accommodate you. We won’t knowingly publish images of anyone who has asked not to be included.

If something goes wrong

If you feel unsafe or witness unacceptable behaviour, speak to any member of the Auris team (look for [staff identifier — lanyards/t-shirts]) or contact [help@modusarts.org / phone]. We’ll take it seriously and respond.

Consequences

Anyone breaching this code may be asked to leave and may be refused entry to other festival events.
